Clearwater Fire & Rescue Kicks Off Safe Boating Week5/14/2009 2:11:19 PMContact: Elizabeth WattsClearwater Fire & Rescue’s Marine Unit, the United States Coast Guard and other agencies are kicking off 2009 National Safe Boating Week. Clearwater Fire & Rescue will have its Marine Boat, Dive Truck and personal watercraft on display. Assistant Chief of Special Operations Kent Watts will speak about fire department marine operations including: dive operations, water rescues and marine firefighting. Date: May 15, 2009 Time: 9:00 a.m. Location: Coast Guard Station Sand Key 1375 Gulf Boulevard Clearwater, Fla. National Safe Boating Week runs May 16-22, 2009. This year's theme is: Wear It!
